• Hardware Setup & Baseline: Familiarize yourself with developer boards and cameras to establish a reproducible BSH test environment based on BSH input
• Camera & ISP Analysis: Systematically analyze key camera and ISP settings and their sensitivity on pre-trained AI models
• Trade-off Evaluation: Assess the impact and relationships between ISP configurations, image compression and resulting AI classification accuracy
• Automated Optimization: Develop an automated framework to identify optimized parameter profiles for typical home appliance operating scenarios
• Benchmarking & Guidelines: Compare performance gains against default camera configs & document practical integration guidelines for series development

• Advanced master's studies in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a comparable technical field
• Strong interest or first experience in image processing, computer vision and embedded systems
• Programming skills in Python and experience with OpenCV and ML libraries (PyTorch or TensorFlow)
• German language is a plus
